At Mandy's Nanny Care, the safety, wellbeing and happiness of every child are my highest priorities. I am committed to providing a caring, safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop.

I will:

• Carry out risk assessments before caring for children and before outings.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Always supervise children appropriately.

• Follow parents' instructions regarding allergies, medication and medical conditions.

• Keep emergency contact details readily available.

• Record all accidents, incidents and medication administered.

• Promote good hygiene to reduce the spread of infection. 

• Follow UK safeguarding guidance and report any concerns appropriately.

• Regularly review my health and safety procedures.

Fire Procedure

• Raise the alarm. 

• Evacuate everyone immediately.

• Do not re-enter the property. 

• Contact parents once everyone is safe.

Cancellation by Mandy's Nanny Care

Whilst every effort will be made to provide the agreed childcare services, there may be rare occasions when I am unable to work due to illness, injury, family emergency or other unforeseen circumstances.

In the event that I am unable to provide care:

​

• I will notify the family as soon as reasonably possible.

• No charge will be made for any childcare that I am unable to provide.

• Any payment already made for the affected hours or dates (including deposits) will be refunded or, if preferred, credited towards a future booking.

• If I need to leave during a booking due to an emergency or sudden illness, I will contact the parent or emergency contact immediately so that suitable arrangements can be made for the child's care.

 

This policy is intended to ensure clear communication whilst recognising that unforeseen circumstances can occasionally arise.
